Makers Department started life as an agency. These days, the department is mostly one maker — and that's not a confession, it's the offer. I began as an industrial designer, but startups have a way of stretching you: soon I was managing processes and people well beyond design, deep in engineering, manufacturing and business decisions. Somewhere along the way I stopped being 'the designer' and became the strategic right arm founders call when things need to get done — a long-term partner, accountable end to end. And when a project needs more hands than mine, I build the team: designers, engineers and manufacturers drawn from a network grown over a decade, managed with the same care I ran my own studio.
