Prototype before launch. You need to know if your product works and have something to show potential customers and/or investors.
Don't use the Indiegogo money to design. Have the design done before and use it on your IndieGoGo and marketing campaign.
Use customer money to build and service their orders.
Budget much more than you think for marketing your campaign or it will fail.
Look into shipping and customs very carefully so that you don’t undercharge and lose money.
